ACT Chief Minister's Reading Challenge 2019

I can't begin to tell you how much I love my role as Ambassador for the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge. Each year I get to visit wonderful schools and students who are competing in the reading challenge. Reading books rocks!!!

My first visit as Ambassador for CMRC for 2019 was to Franklin Early Childhood School, ACT.

It was a wonderful morning to meet an enthusiastic crowd of smiling year one students and talk about reading and writing and the creative process. I had the opportunity to read my books and answer terrific questions the children asked me.

My second visit was to the Canberra Hospital School. What a great morning. I was warmly welcomed by the teaching staff, the children attending the school whilst in hospital, and I even got to meet the Starlight Wish Captains.

Thanks to Franklin Early Childhood school and the Canberra Hospital School for having me along and the wonderful crew at CMRC who coordinate our visits.

Keep reading books and I'll see you all at the CMRC Awards in November.

Max Meets a Monster is such a favourite with the kids
