May 2021 Ambassador visit.
It is a great pleasure to be an ambassador for the Chief Minister's Reading Challenge. Each year I visit ACT schools that have entered the reading challenge to talk to the students, read my books and encourage and applaud their involvement in the challenge.
Reading is a fantastic journey. It brings such an immense mix of emotions and joy.
A book can take the reader to places they never imagined, it can evoke feelings of shock, horror, laughter, joy, sadness, love, or make you think, ponder over the story and characters, or simply wish you were in the story.
I was lucky to visit with Kindergarten students at Florey Primary School. It is always such fun reading my books, seeing their reactions and then talking about the writing process. It is the reward of being an author—sharing your books with others to enjoy.
